YOUR INFORMATION. YOUR CHOICES.

Privacy, explained simply.

Your health story is personal. Here’s what MediSymp keeps, what you choose to share, and how you can manage it.

Your health journal

Your entries, symptom details, health background, routines and doctor questions stay in the browser you use. Journals are kept separately for each account. They are not automatically backed up or synced across devices. Photos and PDFs you add as records also stay on this device; MediSymp does not read, analyse or upload them.

MediSymp does not encrypt these saved records. Keep your device and browser profile private, and download a full backup regularly. Clearing browser data can permanently remove your journal.

Optional online processing

Optional story organization and reflections use artificial intelligence (AI). Read the health and AI guidance for accuracy limits and how to review suggestions safely.

When you choose to organize a story, your current recording or written story is sent to an online processing service to organize it automatically. Your saved journal is not sent with that story. Optional reflections use only the information you preview, including your symptom and factor names. These can reveal sensitive health information.

Audio is held temporarily in memory for recording and processing. MediSymp does not save audio files in your journal, backups or on its servers. The temporary recording is discarded after transcription or when you close the recording window. If processing fails before returning text, it stays in memory so you can retry while that window is open. Only the text and details you review and choose to save enter your journal.

Processing providers may retain submitted information and service records under their applicable terms. Manual check-ins remain available without online processing. Online organization is for people aged 18 or older.

Your account and subscription

Your email is used to verify your account and send sign-in codes. Essential sign-in cookies keep your session active. Signing out ends that session; it does not delete your journal from this browser.

Account and billing records include your selected country, customer identifiers, subscription status, trial and paid-through dates, and cancellation information. Payment details are handled by our payment provider. Your health journal is not included in billing records.

Who receives your information

We use service providers to support the features you choose:

Information handled by these providers may be processed outside your country, including in the United States. Their retention practices may differ from MediSymp’s. Your saved journal is not automatically uploaded; you choose what to send for online processing.

Usage and security records

We keep usage counts while your account exists to apply your trial and monthly allowances. Individual processing-request records are removed automatically within a few days once completed or released. These describe the request and its usage, not your journal contents.

Limited account, network and sign-in information is used to prevent misuse and protect access. Short-lived request-limit records are set to expire after a day and are removed automatically. Security logs and service-provider operational records may be retained longer.

Reminders

Reminders use routine names, schedules and recent check-offs saved on your device. Notifications can appear on a lock screen, so routine names are hidden unless you turn them on. Signing out removes the account’s reminder information; deleting a journal removes its reminder information too.

Sharing with your doctor

You choose what to include in your brief and how to share it. MediSymp does not automatically send health information to a doctor. Keep downloaded briefs and backups somewhere private.

Backups, cancellation and deletion

Journal settings let you download a backup, restore one, or clear records from this browser after confirmation. Cancelling your subscription stops renewal; it does not erase your journal, account or past payment records.

Delete your account from Your account to cancel any subscription immediately and remove your sign-in, profile, subscription and usage records from MediSymp. A temporary deletion marker prevents old sessions from restoring a deleted account. Security logs and recovery backups follow separate retention periods. Your payment customer profile and saved cards are also removed. You can separately choose to remove that account’s journal from the browser you are using. Copies on other devices and files you have downloaded are not removed automatically.

Payment providers retain past payment and invoice records where required by law. Account deletion does not necessarily remove information already retained by processing or service providers.
